Tuesday also held the release of “Windows” by Frankie Cosmos, from their next album, the 21-track “Close It Quietly”, which will be out on September 6th.

Wednesday: The Hold Steady’s newest single “Denver Haircut” was released with the announcement of their next album “Thrashing Thru The Passion” out on August 16th. Wednesday also had the release of “Choke”, a new single by Poppy.

Metronomy also announced a new record with the release of a single titled “Salted Caramel Ice Cream” off of their upcoming album “Metronomy Forever” due on September 13th. “Just When” by Yellow Days was also released on Thursday.

Friday: In full release news, “Help Us Stranger” by The Raconteurs, their first album in over 10 years, came out on Friday. Lil Nas X, the recent country-rap breakout, has released his first EP, titled “7”, which of course features his hit song “Old Town Road”, and Julia Nunes released her newest EP “Ughwow” . New singles included “Generational Divide” by blink-182, “Pretty” by Ingrid Michaelson, “Miss U 100000” by Alex Winston, which was released at midnight, and “Imagination” by Foster the People.

Is there anything that you expected to see here but didn’t? Let me know; it’s always good to add to the collection! Check back next week to see what kind of goodies get brought in from The Haul.
